Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Extra transparency for health-adjacent reflections and emotional information.

This privacy notice describes SEENA's current free early-access operation for registered adults. Qualified counsel has not approved it for a paid public launch.

This policy supplements SEENA's Privacy Notice. It applies when information a user chooses to share, or a limited inference SEENA makes to provide a requested feature, may reveal past, present, or future physical or mental health status. SEENA is not offered as a health-care provider or HIPAA-covered medical record service.

1. Consumer health data SEENA may collect

health, symptoms, diagnoses, treatment, medications, disability, reproductive or sexual-health information a user voluntarily enters in chat, journal, memory, Vault, voice, files, or support;
emotional or mental-health-adjacent information, such as mood, stress, grief, crisis language, or patterns inferred from content the user asks SEENA to process;
voice recordings, a derived Personal Voice profile, and related consent records, which may also be treated as biometric information in some jurisdictions; and
health-related information from an optional connected service only when the user authorizes that connection and requests the applicable feature.

Sources are the user, content the user directs SEENA to process, limited inferences from that content, and an optional provider the user connects. SEENA does not buy consumer health data from data brokers.

2. Why SEENA collects and uses it

SEENA processes this information only as needed to provide a feature the user requests, such as supportive conversation, journaling, memory, search, safety response, Twin personalization, voice, export, deletion, security, or support. It may also be used to comply with law and protect the service. SEENA does not use consumer health data for advertising, eligibility, employment, housing, credit, insurance, or other high-impact decisions.

A user can avoid adding health information, turn off optional learning controls, correct or delete saved items, revoke Personal Voice, disconnect services, or delete the account. Some requested features cannot work on information the user has withdrawn or deleted.

Current processing and provider disclosures are limited to what is necessary to provide the feature the user requests. If SEENA introduces a collection or sharing purpose that is not necessary for that requested service, it will first present the legally required separate, specific consent.

3. Consumer health data SEENA shares

SEENA does not sell consumer health data. It shares only the categories needed to provide a user-requested feature with service providers acting for that purpose:

OpenAI for requested AI, embeddings, transcription, and preset-voice processing;
ElevenLabs for separately consented Personal Voice enrollment and synthesis;
Vercel, Neon, and Cloudflare for secure application hosting, database, and storage;
support and transactional-email providers if a user chooses to put health information in a support request; and
a successor in a genuine business transaction that assumes these restrictions, or a recipient required by valid legal process.

Sentry receives scrubbed, content-free error data. Product analytics do not store prompts, replies, transcripts, chat identifiers, or crisis categories. A crisis resource display increments only an account-free and content-free aggregate counter.

SEENA currently has no affiliates that receive consumer health data.

4. Your consumer health data rights

Depending on applicable law, a user may ask whether SEENA collects or shares consumer health data; access it; receive a list of recipients; withdraw consent for future collection or sharing; and request deletion. Settings provides export, correction, category clearing, connection revocation, Personal Voice revocation, and account deletion. Requests can also be sent to [email protected].

SEENA may verify identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law. If a request is denied, the response will explain why and how to appeal by replying to [email protected]. SEENA does not discriminate against a user for exercising a privacy right, although a feature may stop working when its required data is withdrawn.

5. No sale, targeted advertising, or health-care geofencing

SEENA does not sell consumer health data, use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use geofences around health-care facilities to identify or track people, collect health data, or send health-related messages or advertisements.

6. Security, retention, and deletion

SEENA applies the security controls and limits described in the Privacy Notice. User content generally remains until the user deletes it or closes the account. A crisis-gated message remains in user-controlled chat history but is not promoted into permanent Twin traits or memories. Personal Voice follows its separate public retention and destruction schedule. Backup deletion may take up to the legally permitted recovery window.

7. Changes and contact

SEENA will disclose and request any legally required affirmative consent before collecting, using, or sharing an additional category of consumer health data for a new purpose. The final legal entity, mailing address, launch jurisdictions, and region-specific supplements remain qualified legal-review gates before broad public launch.
